"Thomas initially injured the hip during the third quarter of the Celtics' March 15 game against Minnesota, forcing him to miss the next two regular season contests", the Celtics said in a press release.
"You go and compete on Sunday. I mean, what else do you do?" I don't care if we win by 200 points. "As well as we played tonight, we've got a couple of things we can do better". We have to play a lot better...
This was the worst possible scenario for Boston; going down 2-0, an embarrassing defeat (franchise worst home loss) and their star player suffering an injury which may linger through to the rest of the possibly brief series. "We've just got to respond the right way".
But the Celtics clearly were stung by another lackluster performance in Friday's Game 2.

"I don't even think we played that great tonight", James said.
"We've been in this situation before".
"The game's over. We've already been embarrassed". It wasn't to this type of caliber team, though. "I think we can still pull this off". This league knows what I bring to the table.
