A Cassville man was hurt in a single-vehicle accident at 2:15 a.m. Thursday on Highway 248, half a mile east of Cassville in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. He was the head football and wrestling coach at West Platte High School.

The patrol said a tractor-trailer, driven by 63-year-old Carl Braddock of Geneva, Nebraska, crossed the median and struck three vehicles in the southbound lanes. He has been with the West Platte School District for four years. Nathan Danneman will always be known as a positive and hard-working role model for our kids and staff.

Peggy Callaway of Bernie was driving a 1999 Ford Taurus east when the auto went off the left side of the road, struck a ditch, and overturned, according to the investigating trooper.

Willis suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Joplin by an ambulance, the patrol said. He was driving a Ford F-150.

Braddock suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph.
