Justin Bieber got plastered to the plexiglass at Staples Center.but at least he seemed to take it all in stride.

Bieber was driven into the boards in the first half by a laughing Pronger, who spent 18 years in the league as a hard-nosed defenceman.

Justin Bieber will lace up his skates and play in the NHL Celebrity All-Star Shootout game Saturday night (January 28) in Los Angeles.

Every winter, the NHL's All-Star Weekend brings out celebrities, fans and hockey's greatest stars for a celebration of the sport.

Bieber was itching to score in the game, shooting almost every time he got the puck, including when he was denied on a penalty shot early in the game.

"I was shocked at how good the kid can play", said Gooding, who scored the winning goal.

Pictures posted to the NHL's Instagram account showed a smiling Bieber with Wayne Gretzky in the locker room.

Players in the game wore a patch in honor of the late Alan Thicke, and Thicke's 19-year-old son, Carter, who was with Thicke when he suffered a heart attack on an ice ring in Burbank, also played in the game.
