Amy Schumer brought some Christmas cheer to her family when she bought back her family's farm.
In her best-selling memoir The Girl with the Lower Back Tattoo, the comedian opened up about the financial difficulties her family experienced and how they motivated her to earn her own money.
Amy also posted a screenshot of herself FaceTiming her dad, who is now in an assisted living home, to give him the good news.
The funnywoman dug out an adorable video to post with her announcement.
"We lost the farm when we lost everything else", she added. But today I got to buy it back for him.' Schumer said.
When Schumer was 12 years old, her father was diagnosed with MS and his company went bankrupt, according to People. "That's when I kind of took the lead and took care of everybody in my family", Schumer explained. Schumer often visits her father at the assisted living facility where he now resides. Chuck Schumer of NY, lives in an assisted living facility, according to Entertainment Tonight.
"I don't remember how it felt to lose everything, but I do remember men coming to take my dad's vehicle when I was ten". For her hit film Trainwreck, Schumer even made her character's father suffer from the ailment. Amy surprised him with the news via Facetime.
"Is it fat shaming if you know you're not fat and have zero shame in your game?", she told the critics.
