Seattle Gets Punter Destroyed by Trying to Embarrass Los Angeles

The Seattle Seahawks inexplicably made a decision to run a fake punt with just over five minutes to play while leading the Los Angeles Rams 24-3 last night.

Ryan - who is most proficient when it comes to his actual job - conducted a trick play against the Rams when he saw an opening and charged downfield with the ball under his arm.

Punter Jon Ryan ran 33 yards right up the middle on the play.

It all ended in tears when Ryan somehow lost control of the ball despite having no-one within touching distance.

This is the reason why people joke that NFL punters are the guys who hang around football players. Coach Pete Carroll said Ryan was executing a fake punt.

A few plays later, Jared Goff was taken from the game to be checked for a concussion after a sideline hit by Richard Sherman.
