Julius, Penn State's 258-pound kicker, had made Twitter timelines explode with big hits on kickoffs against MI and Kent State this season.

Julius, who had been pancaked and hit hard on kickoffs throughout the game, kicked off and was viciously hit away from the play by freshman linebacker Jaylen Waters.

After Penn State took a 20-13 lead late in the third quarter, Julius booted one into the end zone for a touchback.

Waters was ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct, according to play-by-play logs.

Waters was a three-star recruit out of high school before redshirting in 2015 for the Gophers.

But while the story looked amusing off the top, it took a weird turn later when Walters again went after Julius, and this time with a cheap shot.

Melvin Holland Jr. also hit Julius on a first half kickoff. At time of publish, the teams headed to overtime, tied at 23.
