The body of a 13-year-old girl who went missing last week has been found near a Pennsylvania river.
According to police, her body was found Sunday, near the Clarion River, on Trout Run, by Clarion Volunteer Fire Department. McGiffin's body was found in Trout Run near the Clarion River.
Police say they had been searching for the girl since she left her Clarion home to go to a store Friday night.
Her father, Andrew Schneider, broke down in tears while holding a flyer with a picture of his missing daughter early Sunday. She was in the seventh grade at Clarion-Limestone High School.
Shevy had walked a few minutes from her home to the Comet Food Warehouse on South Fifth Avenue near a Dollar General to buy a coloring book.
"That's the last time she was seen", Schneider said.
The child had traveled from her Fraternity Drive home (pictured) Friday night.
Shevy's mother fears her daughter was abducted and said she was seen talking to a man in a Buick, she told WPXI-TV.
Members of a search party in Clarion gather at a parking lot before setting out to find Shevy McGiffin, 13..
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday in Erie.
State police did not elaborate how Shevy died or how she and said her death is still under investigation.
