Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis will donate a portion of Saturday's gate receipts from his team's home match in Naples against AC Milan to the quake victims in central Italy.
At least 247 were killed as buildings collapsed in the towns of Amatrice, Accumoli and Pescara del Tronto.
However in the wake of the tragic natural disaster that struck in the mountainous region of central Italy, affecting the cities of Amatrice, Accumoli and Pescara del Tronto, De Laurentiis has decided that Napoli will support those whose lives have been turned upside down.
The Napoli chairman expressed his sadness over the consequences of the natural disaster.
On Wednesday, the Giovanni Agnelli foundation, an organisation created in honour of Juventus president, said it will donate 150,000 euros ($169,350) to help everyone involved.
"I, as everyone, am shocked by the tragic quake. I know those parts of the country well, as a child I spent a lot of time there with my family", De Laurentiis posted on Twitter. "The use of the funds will be decided in common with the Civil Services".
