In other related news, Boon allegedly teased the arrival of the Kombat Pack 3 for "Mortal Kombat X", by asking fans if they want "Shaolin Monks 2", "Injustice 2" or "Kombat Pack 3".
That open beta is available today, and can be installed by visiting the Mortal Kombat X page on Steam and following the "Click to play now" instruction (just underneath the video/screenshot gallery).
This has led PC players to start a petition to get the game on their platform.
XL includes every piece of DLC released for the game so far, including the Xenomorph, Tri-borg, Bo' Rai Cho, and Leatherface, the characters which are now unreleased on PC. There's also the image of what looks like a PC motherboard. However, due to Boon's tweet, PC players have their hopes up once more. Could this be a subtle but strong hint that the previously console exclusive Mortal Kombat XL content is coming to PC as well? Fortunately, their efforts seem to have paid off as reports claim a PC version may be launched soon. Known simply as SteamDB Unknown App 471210, the app has seen a number of updates along with a name change to MKXL Enhanced Online Beta.
The problems with the PC version of the game prompted publisher Warner Bros. At the time a studio representative took to popular Mortal Kombat forum, TestYourMight.com to confirm that the Mortal Kombat XL would not be making it to PC.
